Experimenting Science | Journalism and Media | Social Studies |
Science plays an important role in our lives; in fact, our daily lives are shaped by it since it impacts on countless decisions we make: from caring for our health and well-being, choosing paper over plastic at the grocery store, or simply answering a child who asks why the sky is blue. Science is the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical, social, and natural worlds through observation and experimentation. It’s key to innovation and human development whether it’s finding new cures for diseases or exploring new galaxies. Therefore, through learning science we develop our ability to ask questions, collect data, organise and test our ideas, solve problems, and apply what we learn. It also helps us develop communication skills, and make sense of the world around us. The aim of Experimenting Science is to help you find answers to your countless “why” questions and motivate you to research and form your own opinions instead of simply accepting others´. So let's get started, have fun together and explore the world around us! |
